This article covers Urban Jungle Contents, Buildings & Contents, Buildings Only, Tenants Liability Insurance and Select By Urban Jungle Policies. You can find more information about what these policies cover below. If you’re unsure about which policy you have, please refer to this article.
Our Urban Jungle Contents policies can cover your contents and personal items such as jewellery, phones and bikes, against events like household leaks, floods, storms, theft and fire.
Contents are defined as household goods and personal items within the home, which you own or for which you are legally liable. This can include fixtures and fittings, carpets (but not permanently fitted flooring), electronic equipment, and mobility aids. Contents do not include things like ceramic hobs forming part of the interior structure of the home.
You can choose from several optional add-ons for your cover, including Accidental Damage, Out of Home or Legal Expenses cover and customise your excess and cover levels based on your needs. Tenants Liability Cover is included as standard in our Contents only policies.
If you already have a Contents Insurance policy with us, you can find your policy documents (which also contain information about your cover levels, excess and what is covered by your policy) in the My Account section of our website. Here you can also make changes to and manage your policy, such as changing your cover levels, adding or removing add-ons, or cancelling your policy.
If you don’t have a policy with us, you can check this policy summary and sample policy document for more information, and any exclusions and conditions on our Contents policies.

Tenants Liability Insurance is designed to cover your landlord’s property that your tenancy agreement says you are liable for as a renter. Your landlord’s property includes things like household goods and furniture. Examples of situations where you can be covered include stains on the carpet or a broken window.
You can choose cover of either £5,000 (£55 per year), or up to £10,000 (£65 per year). The excess applied to any settlement amount is £50, irrespective of your cover level. Your family members are covered automatically, and you can cover housemates on the same tenancy agreement for free.
The Tenants' Liability cover is not designed to cover anything other than accidental damage to your landlord’s property caused by you (and anyone else named on the policy); for example, damages caused by fire, leaks, or theft are not covered. Tenants Liability insurance is not a replacement for your security deposit, instead, it is designed to reduce the risk that you will lose your deposit. You need to make any claims when the event happens, rather than at the time your Landlord deducts damages from your security deposit.
It’s worth noting that we include Tenants Liability Insurance with our Contents Insurance at no extra cost.
If you already have a Tenants Liability Insurance policy with us, you can find your policy documents (which also contain information about your cover levels, excess and what is covered by your policy) in the My Account section of our website.
